I’m fortunate to have a Norwegian heritage. A hallmark of the culture is Scandinavian hospitality which is all about getting together with family and friends to share life over a cup or two of coffee and a marvelous array of delicious buttery, sugary delights. When I was twelve, my parents gave me a copper recipe box for Christmas that I filled over time with recipes for these treasured connection confections. The beloved box became the source and inspiration for The Copper Box Candy Company. We’ve taken traditional favorite recipes from the copper box and reworked them to make them look and taste a bit new by experimenting with ingredients (chocolate is the most fun) and putting them together in a way that is familiar yet updated and of course, yummy.
